I will overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former twice world title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather criticized former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's greatest financial successes, regularly earning massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As both boxers participated in the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually happening.
